Canary Wharf C2 wins AJ Architecture Tomorrow Awards 2016

Pilbrow and Partners are delighted to announce that The Market Building, Wood Wharf has won the AJ Architecture Tomorrow Awards 2016.

The new workplace building, also known as Canary Wharf C2, will form the centrepiece of a new mixed-use development in London's Isle of Dogs. The project was awarded to Pilbrow and Partners following an invited competition by Canary Wharf Group's project manager, Canary Wharf Contractors.

The panel were impressed by the building's steel-frame exoskeletion, which envelopes the structure, as well as the potential of the building's attractive and distinctive design to enhance the public realm within the new development.

Out of the 35 finalists, 8 were projects of Pilbrow and Partners. The practice were also recongised for their work on Nightingale House, Alpha Square, The Diamond, Greenwich Peninsula Riverside, Orme Square, St Mary Somerset Tower and UCLH Phase 5, which were all shortlisted amoungst strong competition from across the UK.
